We invited lots of people in to school who have a variety of different careers, including: a sea level scientist, medical scientist, poet, author, veterinary surgeon, general practitioners, a dentist, a reporter for Granada Reports, secondary school teacher, police officers, firefighter, tree surgeon as well as the Head of Application Cryptography at Barclays Bank. Our children participated in workshops, conducted experiments and were able to ask lots of questions about the different professions. Children in Upper Key Stage 2 also researched the cost of everyday items, homes, cars as well as luxuries and carried out a budgeting exercise after being given a range of different incomes.
The week was filled with lots of learning and inspiration for our children! Thank you to all of our visitors.
