Our Mini Vinnies Group
In summer 2023, in partnership with our parish SVP group, we established our school Mini Vinnies group with children from Year 2 - 6. Currently, in September 2024, we have 16 children in our group and meet weekly on a Tuesday after school. We always have a time of prayer and reflection in our sessions before we are busy planning our next event, or enjoying some different craft activities.

Christmas visit to Lindsay House care home- December 2024

Following our 'Cards of joy,  we decided to bring some Christmas joy on a visit to Lindsay House. We sang some of our favourite songs and carols from our Christmas reflection. We also chatted and coloured with some of the residents. It was a lovely afternoon and we hope to visit again soon. 

We were delighted to receive a letter from the SVP thanking us for the money we raised during the summer.

Raising money for the SVP's national summer homelessness appeal - July 2024

Our Mini Vinnies sold all the God's Eyes they had crafted to raise £70! This will buy 20 'Vinnie packs' which we hope will bring comfort and hope to some of the homeless.

We hosted termly events for invited members of our parish community. Spending this time with our guests has been much appreciated by them as they have enjoyed our company. Many of our guests were keen to continue attending our events, which gave us the opportunity to begin to get to know each other. 

Supporting the Skelmersdale SVP Foodbank

In summer 2023 and 2024 we organised  collections to help families locally who may struggle during the school holidays. We also collected during Advent 2023, and most recently during Advent 2024, to make Christmas hampers that hopefully made this time a bit easier and happier for some people.
