Environmental Responsibility
Everyone in our school has the responsibility to look after the world around us. Everyone recycles paper, cardboard and plastic bottles. All of the children are taught about their importance to care for their environment. We use and look after our nearby forest and maintain our bug hotel.
This year we hope to establish an Eco-council and work towards gaining the silver Eco-Schools award.
As part of National Tree Week, and organised by Miss Connell and Debbie Shepton from West Lancashire CVS, some members of Eco Council helped to plant an apple tree in our school grounds on Tuesday 26th November. This will contribute to our school environment and hopefully provide us with some tasty produce as part of the Community Food Growing Project.
